I have heard that Gypsy Rose Lee once lived in West Seattle. Does anyone know the details - when, where, etc.?

According to the Seattle times, these are Seattle theaters where GRL performed before she went home to West Seattle :-)

fwiw, a remake of Gypsy, the movie, is in the early stages of development with buzz that Streisand will play her mother, Rose. Interesting to speculate who might play Gypsy this time around...

  6. Reopening this (no! don't report me!) old-ish thread for a link that just circulated on Twitter - CBS did a story about Gypsy Rose Lee's centennial this morning. For those who were/are interested:

Gypsy Rose Lee's grandparent's house was on Rutan Place in the Junction....a small street right behind Uptown Espresso.
