Gray Parrot sighting?

    Hello! Today on my regular walk through the Highland Park neighborhood, I think I might have seen a gray parrot! Have others seen gray parrots about in WS? Or, are there other birds in the area that resemble the gray parrot?

    I haven't seen parrots here in West Seattle, but used to frequently see a little flock of wild green parrots when I lived in the Maple Leaf neighborhood (north Seattle). I believe that they nest in or near Seward Park, but I'd see them in various neighborhoods. They were really fun to watch. Parrots make a very interesting & distinctive sound, so it's easy to notice when they are nearby. Hope you're right that it was a gray parrot; it would be great to have parrots here in WS!

    Surely the African Grey can't survive outside in the winter here? Aren't they tropical birds? If it's somebody's pet that got out, I hope they get it back quickly.
