Gmail is down - anyone impacted

and here I thought it was just me. I keep getting a "502 server error" error.

The Gmail support page said it would try to have news about resolving the problem by 2:16 PST http://mail.google.com/support/?hl=en

I just switched over to gmail a week ago, so it was frustrating, especially since I was on my lunch hour at the time and had stuff to do via email.

Is that something that happens often with gmail, or just a fluke?

I missed it. I may have lost an email I sent though, but I resent it a little late and it worked.

Gmail has been exceptionally reliable in the past but I still back up important stuff.
