Giant Egg Pod

  1. Where did the giant egg pod come from at the cement factory south of the Spokane Street/West Seattle bridge come from. What is it?

  3. We saw this yesterday too - didn't know if it was brand new, we don't head that far east so often any more. If nobody here comes up with the answer, I'll make a note to call the cement plant tomorrow and see if they'll tell me ...

  8. yeah, that would be good, as there is at least one/two "giant egg pods" that have been in that area for years...

so I'm wondering if this is something brand new? and I don't have a car at the moment to explore - lol...it became gravely ill this past Friday :(

  9. It is very bright and white so if it's not new, it's been painted, because it stood out like the proverbial sore thumb. Hope someone else gets a photo - I am water taxiing downtown in a few hours for some interviews at city and county gov't HQ and will not be passing that way.

  10. It's probably a big new dry cement storage silo like the one that's there. A guy got trapped in a cement avalanche inside the old 'pod' last year.

  11. I saw it a few days ago..it's definitely new..and big...and really, really white...invasion of the pod people? How does something like that go up without anyone noticing? It almost looks like it's a lightweight stretchy material over a form...hmmm.
