Free clamp-on locks for sliding window frames.In good working order, we eventually went with other hardening options that were more practical for frequent opening and closing.
These locks are available at Home Depot if you want to look at them, or go to http://www.defender-security.net. At the website you can look at the PDF catalog: model U-9809, "vinyl window lock" (five offered) and model U-9825, "cam action lock" (four offered)(all in white). They clamp on the window frame as an added measure to the factory window lock. Either model can be used on metal or vinyl frames, may be doubled up etc for your specific needs.
