I just discovered a service that will "exchange" HD-DVD movies for Blu-Ray versions for $5/disc plus shipping. They have limited titles, mostly Warner Bros, but... the David Attenborough narrated version of Planet Earth is on the list! Long story short, I only needed to send them the cover art w/barcode, so I have the entire 4-disc HD-DVD version of Planet Earth just waiting for a new West Seattle home.
Any takers? The only part missing is the paper insert from the inner clamshell packaging... the heavy cardboard sleeve is still intact, in fact, you can't even tell anything's missing, really. You need an HD-DVD player in order to watch these (will not work regular DVD players).
Oh, and if you want to exchange any HD-DVDs of your own, the web site is http://www.Red2Blu.com/. *
If you are interested, and in the interest of simplicity, you can reach me at (my username) @comcast.net, rather than replying to this forum post. I'll post "TAKEN" when it's gone.
I recommend watching ICE WORLDS first, in the spirit of today's record temps!
