Free asparagus crowns

    I have about 10 extra Jersey Supreme asparagus crowns from Raintree Nursery. I planted 15 last week & they are doing great. Place crowns in 6" trench 8-12" apart, cover with 1-3" soil, fill trench as plants grow. Do not harvest shoots until 3rd spring (2013). The crowns are in a Fedex box on top of the yard waste bin in the alley at 6047 42nd ave sw (bottle fence behind O'neil plumbing). First person to arrive takes them home!

    Fishgirl, your fence was popular a couple of weeks ago with somewhere in west seattle. Great fence.

    I dug out a new bed for them and improved the soil with some compost and moved in some additional topsoil and they are now all planted and tucked away in their new bed. Thank you so much Fishgirl!
