    Hi-

We are currently planning a small addition to our house, approx 75 sf. We need recommendations for a good concrete group that can pour a new foundation (approx 18 linear feet) as well as a new slab in the extended portion of the basement. Anyone use anyone good? We would appreciate any tips!

is this a full-height basement wall, then, that will be below grade?

my company does concrete and concrete block, but that might be beyond our ability. we typically go up. :)

but if it's a short, at-grade foundation wall with a slab inside, that's right up our alley.

From inside the basement, the foundation wall is 3' (on half) and steps up another 6" to 3'6" (on the other half). Then it's regular wood framing above. Does that help?

  4. We used Greg's Concrete, a West Seattle business last summer to remove a whole lot of concrete from our front landing and pour a custom/odd prject. We were very happy with the quality and service. Greg was especially great to work with.

shannon: that helps a little. we don't do form walls over 12", but we do footings, slabs, and masonry walls - including concrete block foundation walls.

concrete block comes in a variety of colors and textures; it doesn't have to be gray and look like a prison. it's often a simpler solution than a concrete form wall, especially in tight spaces, and it has the same structural properties.

shoot me an email if you want me or my boss to have a look at plans, pictures, or the site itself.
