There are about 4 wee size baby rabbits tucked away in my garden anyone know what to do Thanks, want to see these babies survive. they probably don’t need my help lol just putting this out here. since I’m in the “wetlands green belt” rescue won’t pick them up
Years ago I volunteered at the PAWS wildlife hospital (then HOWL). I seem to remember learning that mother rabbits nurse their babies only a few times a day and that they babies are left alone for long periods of time–so long that people often think they have been abandoned. I also remember that rabbits frighten very easily so it is best just to leave them be as Hammerhead advised. You might want to double check my memory though by giving the PAWS wildlife hospital a call.
when we found them while gardening 3 days ago they were about 3 inches, we don’t mess with the nest. Today I noticed more rabbit fur on the nest area, so I assume the Mama Wabbit is nursing them. So curious, but don’t wont to disrupt them.
