I have no shows this Saturday night and was thinking of what I could do to make myself useful.
The stockings are hung by the chimney with care and the presents tucked tightly underneath the Christmas tree. My bills are payed for the month and the Christmas Eve food money is put away, so why shouldn't I do something to help someone else, even in a small way?
I am going to be purchasing 15 x $5 Gift Cards valid at my favorite cafe at Pike Place Market. This is all I can afford to spare, but I want to get a group of people together to do this with me. Donating an amount that they can spare. We'll meet up at the cafe, purchase them together and then distribute them in the Westlake Center area.
I am wondering if the news would catch on to this to get more people to do it around the state. It's similar to the purchasing of the drink for the person behind you in line, except you're giving gift cards out to people that could probably use them and it's an expression of love and giving to those who might be able to afford a cup of Joe!
Who's with me?
