FCAT: I'm ready for my close-up now, Mr. DeMille.

  1. Attention FCAT fans:

Pamela Staeheli (nee Brummel, aka "FCAT") will be featured on the Seattle Channel's "City Stream" program this Thursday, September, 22nd, at 7:00 PM on cable channel 21.

The show will include footage of Pamela trapping and caring for feral cats and also talking about what the FCAT organization does.

If you miss the show when it airs, you can check it out later on the Seattle Channel Web site at http://www.seattlechannel.org/CityStream/

I will include a direct link to the specific broadcast as it becomes available.

    Yours in Feline Solidarity,

    DP

  2. As I've told you people many times before, cats OWN the Internet.

Sure, Al Gore may have invented it. But cats snatched it up at $2 a share, and now they own it. Well, that's capitalism, folks, so just deal with it.

Ever since taking over, cats have been so busy making YouTube videos, you might have wondered when they find time to get themselves fixed. Well, that's where Pamela and FCAT come in. See, Pamela is like the Girl Friday of the whole cat underworld. She makes the appointments, picks the cats up at their place, brings them to the vet for a quick snip, and drops them off back home.

It's a beautiful thing, really. Pamela stays out of trouble, and cats don't have to waste time haggling with the insurance companies.

All I want to know is: Why can't the whole health care system be run this way?

  3. So you yearn to be trapped, spayed and released? I think there's an ad on the back of the Weekly for that.....

  4. LMAO.

I wish it was that easy for humans too.

  5. What kind of SICK TWISTED CREATURE would make films of itself swimming around in the TOILET?

  6. Not capitalism - catipalism.

  7. OMG who comes up that stuff. Talk about crazy.

  8. Catipalism & toilet cats together might make someone a million bucks!

You'll see a great video segment tonight. And I should point out that the itty-bitty kittens shown are bigger now and have either recently found homes or are available for adoption right now :)

  9. Keep Pamela away from me, I want nothing to do with that "snipping" thing!!!!

  10. Some people were asking about the kittens that came from that story. I trapped about 17 cats from that site. Only 7 went back. The rest were friendly or little kittens that could be adopted out. I still have some up for adoption from that site.

    Thanks for the support.

  11. sbre: Are you willing to take responsibility for any kittens you bring into the world? Because if not, then Pamela's your gal.

The procedure itself isn't painful. They give you a saucer of warm milk to drink (or beer, if that's your pleasure) and the next thing you know, you're reading Redbook in the waiting room.

Sure, you'll be a little sore "down there" – but in a few days you'll be back in the alley, running with the tomcats.

If I was younger, I'd go in for a little trim myself, but at this point in my life that's about as necessary as watering Astroturf.
