Extra house paint

    I just bought a house and the last owner left lots of paint, many colors. Some are full unused cans. We repainted the entire house and do want any of these. Does anyone have suggestions of where I can donate it? It seems like a lot of work to post it free on craigslist with descriptions and a potential mess to have people come riffle through it if I just put it outside for free.

    I had the same situation, and Freecycled it. Plenty of interest, and folks that want it just mix them together, add tints, and use them for various projects. So, either post it here, Craig's List or Freecycle, and set up an appointment for someone to come get it (maybe put a smear of the contents on the outside so you don't have to open them again when you give them away).

    Donation is a good idea, too. No appointments, no flaky strangers, no hassle, and it's all gone.
