   I actually like "hear here..." Mike; it works. I love this day too; the beginning of winter (the days get shorter). Before you hiss at me, this allows me to see flowers and hear birds on December 21, when the days begin to get longer. Somehow it's worth it.

   Indeed! I always feel a bit better on December 21st, or so, when the days start their slow ascent to summer.

   I love weather. The Weather Channel is my favorite channel on TV.

   i've heard multiple complaints about the weather in the past 6 or 8 weeks.

   IMHO, the weather in seattle is perfect, and it follows the calendar pretty well.

   sure, it's been "clammy." but the average temperature here is 55 degrees year-round, and spring has been just that.

   nonetheless, here's to great grilling weather ahead.

   Turkey burgers and toasted buns tonight! We toasted with Manhattans, not summer picnic fare, but enjoyable just the same while the burgers grilled to perfection.

   Thanks Charla! I wasn't sure if it was "here", as in "right here", or "hear", as in "I hear ya!" ;-)

   I, too, look at the first day of winter with a bit of optimism, as the days are getting longer. Conversely, as much as I love summer, I feel a tinge of sadness that once again, the days will be getting shorter
