Anyone have any experience with these guys? I see them on TV all the time but wonder how good for price and installation they can really be....

I have no experience with them, but I do know my 3 year old daughter absolutely loves the jingle at the end of their commercials. If she could be eloquent, she'd say to use them for sure. lol.

No personal experience with them, but your query made me curious so I looked them up on yelp. They didn't get good reviews, and all but one were downright scathing. Conversely, Flynn's got raves.

Just used them and didn't have the best experience, but in the end we did get the carpet we wanted. First off, you don't just "buy two rooms and get rest of the house free." You have to literally do the ENTIRE house to get that deal, I was told. We didn't like the price we were given for the 3 rooms and set of stairs, so we opted to just get the stairs and one room. We just bought a house and needed those two parts carpeted before we could move in. The stairs are old and have no risers, but the consultant that came out told us it wouldn't be a problem and that the installer had ways of doing it without the risers. Ya, she was wrong. The installer basically laughed at what she had told us and said the carpet couldn't go in without risers. Makes total sense, not his fault. Hubby was PISSED because we specifically discussed this and were told it wouldn't be a problem. If we had known, we could have fixed it BEFORE the installer came. Isnt that the point of having someone come out first? So, installer put carpet in the bedroom and planned to come back a week later to do the stairs that we were to fix. Waited all day and he had to cancel on us because he was stuck doing unanticipated detail work at another house. So...a few days later he came back and did the stairs. Bottom line for us was that it became more of a hassle than we had wanted. We really like our carpet and are happy with the end result, but it was frustrating that the consultant didn't just tell us the stairs needed repair. We could have saved ourselves and the installer a lot of time and frustration. So, I wouldn't say don't use them, but make sure all questions are answered and that if there are any questionable spots, that the consultant knows what they are talking about!

We got a quote from them for laminate flooring and it came in at around $12/square foot which is ridiculous, and that was apparently with 60% off. To show how ridiculous that is, we went to Lumber Liquidators and bought decent laminate for $2.10/square foot and installed it ourselves. So unless you consider paying $10/square foot for installation reasonable, then I'd find someone with more reasonable prices.

Any company that needs to advertise for business should be looked at twice. Would you go for a two-fer at a plastic surgeon or one that had to advertise? I learned that just because I can recall a jingle that was memorable doesn't mean I get the best service. But I fell for it for a well known plumbing company when my water service pipe broke the day of a large party...
