Easter Activities for 3 and Under?

I see that High Point Community Center is doing an egg hunt for younger kids but does anyone know if Hiawatha or Alki offers a toddler hunt? The community centers website doesn\'t mention it but I was able to look up information in the past and both places did offer an egg hunt for children 3 and under.

The toddler egg hunt at Hiawatha is held in the tennis court. A community center staff member throws handfuls of candy all over the court, and then the gates are opened for the \"running of the toddlers\". A hundred small children rush in and grub up the candy. Calling it a \"hunt\" is kind of misleading, but it is pretty hilarious to watch.

According to the West Seattle and South Park Community Center Catalog there are hunts in:
    Alki
    Delridge
    Hiawatha
    High Point
    South Park
    and Southwest

community centers. All begin at 10 a.m. Doesn\'t give more detail.

  5. Friendly reminder that our Events page lists almost every known event in West Seattle for months to come ... some because people send us listings, some because we relentlessly cruise hundreds of WS-related websites.

That page lists all the community center hunts (the link to the name of each center takes you to its \"Special Events\" webpage for more details), and indeed, they all start at 10 am 3/22.

Also, we have a listing for the Thriftway hunt, \"ages 0-10\" (while the community centers appear to be 3 and up), indeed beginning at 9 am (the link on the Events page listing goes to a Thriftway page about the hunt).

  7. But wait, there\'s more!
I am currently going thru WS churches\' websites to find Easter service listings. It seems many churches are also having egg hunts/candy hunts on Easter. Once I have the list compiled (hopefully by late tonight) I will post in \"Events\" and also will note on the main page. Have also noticed that Eastridge Christian Assembly (which is by the bowling alley) is having one next Saturday at Lincoln Park. Stand by for more ...
