   I thought someone was joking when they mentioned this was going on at West Seattle High School tonight. Anyone attending? Thoughts?

   LOL i remember this from when i attended wshs in the 70's. it was a good laugh.

   I didn't know they did this anymore. We used to have it at our high school in the '50's. It was funny, although I'm not sure the donkeys enjoyed it as much as I did. They weren't necessarily interested in going toward the hoops.

   We did this in our high school back in the 70's, soooooo much fun and entertainment.

   Dusting off a forgotten memory: one year one of the burro's actually trapped the ball with a front hoof and bit it, popping the ball instantly.

   The ensuing bang was so loud it scared all the animals and scattered them which got the crowd laughing even louder, then watching the players trying to stay atop their fleeing asses had us kids rolling with laughter while those on the floor around the court scrambling for safety.

   A few riders lost their perch and hit the ground however no one was injured, and the one that bit the ball was so startled by it s/he actually pooped right there on the court.

   I'm laughing out loud replaying that old footage in my head, any minute now my wife is going to wake up and tell my to be quiet!
