I have a number of used dog items to donate and wondering if there are some WS recs. Bed covers, comforter in great shape, bowls, electric shaver, treats, small amt of adult dog food, nail trimmers, brush, leashes, etc etc. Looking for shelter/dog haven/rescue. Do any of the pet stores take donations like this? I've never asked. Would rather not travel outside of WS/Burien, but willing to if nothing local or there's a super-duper organization that could really use the above. Thanks for any leads.

Furry Faces will likely know organizations that could use the items. http://www.furryfaces.org or furryfaces@hotmail.com.
The staff at the Service Dog Academy might also know. 355-9033 http://www.servicedogacademy.com

The Doney Memorial Pet Clinic would probably love to have it. Years ago we had some stuff and they came to the house and got it. Don't know if that's true now but it's worth a try. They help the homeless and poor with their pets.

TD3, thank you for thinking of us.
ghar72, we would be happy to accept these items and get them to financially restricted individuals and/or to a small rescue group that could use them. Pet Elements, in West Seattle's Morgan Junction, accepts all donations on our behalf.
Thank you for wanting to donate this items!

Great! Thanks TDe and furryfaces for the quick response and suggestion. I'll get them down to Pet Elements this weekend. Glad to know our items will go to those in need and will get some more life. Thank you!

We have several pairs/quads of extra-large ruffwear booties available if anyone or organization can use them.

Our Saint Bernard needed them to protect her back feet while walking. The booties work great for dogs who drag their feet due to spinal injuries.
The booties are slightly used, let me know if you could use them.

ghar72: Thank you for your donation and for taking the items to Pet Elements.
Alexco: We would be happy to accept the ruffwear booties too! Think we may even have a client whose large dog could use them!
Big thanks to both of you. Cheers, The Furry Faces Gang

Munchkin22, just saw your post. It hadn't shown up when I replied earlier. Thanks for the info. Hopefully helpful for another West Seattlite down the road.
You're welcome furryfaces! Need to wash the bed covers, leashes and leads, but will get the items there next week.Posted 4 months ago #
