hollyplaceParticipantWe are looking for a couple of large branches 8 feet long or so for a school decorating project at Gatewood. Something similar to a maple or other deciduous tree. We would love to take them off your hands if you had any come down in the storm.
Thanks for any help.

miwsParticipanthollyplace, just after 10:00 am, this morning, I noticed a branch down from a street tree, that looked Maple-ish, on California in front of Hiawatha, near the corner of Lander. There was sawdust around as well, indicating someone had at least begun to attend to the tree, so don’t know if it would still be there.

DFWParticipantThere were still a lot of branches in front of the Kenney when we drove by after 5 tonight — maybe try to nab some there?

The Velvet BulldogParticipantWe lost quite a few poplar branches of size. We’re by Westwood Village. Email morevelvetbulldog@gmail.com if you’re interested.

trickycooljParticipantSaw a number of large branches down as I passed the cemetery on Sylvan Way this morning. Might want to give them a call before they do clean up!

zephyrParticipantHollyplace, are you still looking for those branches? I saw a good-sized Big Leaf Maple branch in Lincoln Park yesterday. Plenty of leaves still green mixed with bright yellow. Then a little ways further I saw another maple that had split in half with a multitude of limbs and many leaves— though a smaller leafed species. Both were on a forest trail on the middle of the park—accessible but mainly used by hikers, runners and dog walkers. Not sure about park policy on downed limbs but you could email carol.baker@seattle.gov and ask. If you get the okay, holler back with an email addy or way to reach you. I can give more detailed instructions. ~z
