   About to drift off since I have to work tommorow at 5 and an explosion like sound rocked the house! Sounded like coming from junction! My dogs and children jumped into my bed terrified! Just my luck! Lol! No but really it sounded bomb like! Way louder then a normal firework!

   I'm on the East side of the Junction and I heard it as three gunshots just after 9:45. They were the most gunshot-like pops I've heard in a while. A few minutes later SPD investigated a call of shots on 44th between Spokane and Charlestown. I reckoned it couldn't have been the sound I heard. But I checked it out anyway. But there was nothing happening there by the time I drove by a few minutes later. Did a circuit of the Junction whilst I was out and all seems normal.

   I heard the same thing from my apartment near 45th and Oregon. I called SPD because it sounded so close. The dispatcher's response was, "We'll update our existing report." Not sure what it was, but I agree it didn't sound like any fireworks I've heard.

   45th and Genesee....sounded pretty damn close...shotgun type...SPD lose any weapons off the trunk of a patrol car and it went off..?

   We had windows open and heard it clearly, but it also had the distinct crackling sound like you hear with fireworks when they "bloom" - would that be the word? I imagine if you were farther away, you'd only hear the booms and yes, they'd sound like gunshots. My guess? One of our pyro neighbors managed to set off something in their stash and somehow not burn the place down.

   i was outside at the time, near providence, and i thought it sounded like big fireworks. or maybe a transformer explosion. two booms.
