I would highly recommend Dr. Herrin. He takes very good care of my entire family's teeth. I especially appreciate that he doesn't push the most expensive invasive treatments, but offers sound, reasonable alternatives and allows me to decide. I also like his office and hygenists. A big plus for me is that he will treat children as well as adults, which makes appointments so much easier (we all go in at the same time and get it overwith).

I feel very fortunate to have picked Dr. Herrin when I moved to WS well over 15 years ago. As WSMom stated, he is very reasonable with options and he is very good with kids as my 4 year old has done great with Dr. Herrin and his staff. Would very highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr George Naden, 206-937-3350, is a kind, gentle and wonderful dentist. Reasonable prices, wonderful hygenists and staff. Can't say enough positive things about him after having been ripped off at other dentists.

Hello
I need to see a dentist one of these days and I'm a total dental phobic probably in need of some serious work. Does anyone have a dentist who is really good with phobics and who uses nitrous oxide and can do sedation?
thanks! WrenPosted 11 months ago # -
We go to Dr. Christine Kirchner on Fauntleroy. We have been going there for a few years now and are very happy with her practice.

I also love Dr. Kirchner on Fauntleroy. I was a bit thrown off at my last appointment, as both Kirchner and my regular hygienist were out on maternity leave, but it made me realize how much I enjoy Dr. Kirchner and her regular staff.

Wren ... I'm bettin' all these dentists are excellent w/ these recommendations. To add, because I'm a phobic, Dr. Dunham and hygienist Mickey. Because I'm so terrified, I could go four or more years between cleanings, and it was always a 4-visit deal, numbing, movie goggles, the whole (stupid) 9 yards. When Mickey told me she didn't think I needed numbing, nitrous, or more than two appointments, I pretty much told her she was on the nitrous. ... Cutting through the chase, she was awesomeness! ... Good luck!

Dr Herrin is fantastic! I highly recommend him and his staff. I have been going for years as did my parents before me.

Hi singularname
thanks for the info! I truly am a true dental phobic like you. I've gone way too long and probably need some major work done. I always need nitrous - did you get the nitrous.

As does comment #4 above, I most recommend Dr. George Naden. His office is the clapboard building at the northwest corner of Admiral Way bridge, two blocks east of Metropolitan Market.

All my life I've had a fear of going to the dentist but Dr Herrin is the best. My fear is handled compassionately. I've sent many family and friends to him.

Bob and I both concur with 4 and 11. We've gone to Dr. Naden for three years and we love him. I'm phobic, Bob is stoic. I have "perfect" teeth -- bob has "issues." Naden and his crew make both of us happy and that's actually rare in the world of dentists.
