Dang it I have a cold!

  1. Just checking to see if complaining helps.

  2. I'm soooo sorry you're feeling crappy. It may not make the cold go any quicker, but..I really do feel for you. I hate colds and how they make you feel. Could I bring some nice chicken soup?

  3. Zicam- early and often. Try the kind you spray on the roof of your mouth, and then if you're really feeling crappy- get the Zicam medicated spoons to mix in with hot tea. and remember- NyQuil is your friend when all else fails. Hope you feel better soon!

angelcrest - when I was a teen, my mom used to give me a hot lemon drink when I was really sick, especially with a cough; only later did I find out it was frozen lemonade concentrate with a little bourbon, no joke; probably no worse than Nyquil though and we ARE part German, so...

GHO--It totally worked for me when I felt fluish-coldish. Or, at least I thought it worked; made me feel dreamy. I love to dig around for cross-cultural cures. And, I swear by that thick, natural, untouched (and expensive) honey at PCC.

angelescrest's recipe in hot tea: Scotch + Lemon + honey plus a menthol coughdrop. The steam then clears your sinuses as well.
