Does anyone have a good CSA that they high recommend? My husband and I want to start eating more local/organic. The two places I've been looking at is Seattle Market Garden and Magic Bean Farm. Does anyone have any experiences with either one or has a recommendation for one they love?

We tried Full Circle, and though they have great customer service, I found the veggies somewhat lacking. Plus, you can't get more local than Seattle Market or Magic Bean but I wanted to see if anyone had any first hand experience with either before committing to one.

  3. Two ideas for you to check out.

The web site http://www.farmboat.org is run by a local West Seattle resident and features links to a number of different farms.

You might want to ask at C and P coffee. They operate as a drop off point for a number of individual subscribers. Not sure which supplier they use.

We used tiny's organic last year for the first time. I picked them initially for a couple of reasons. One is that they are a mix of fruit and vegetables. We are huge fruit eaters so that was nice. Second they had a good pick-up location for us at Youngstown. Each week they also deliver a nice newsletter that has descriptions of the various produce and what some of the prime uses are along with recipes.

We get New Roots Organics. In fact, we just got our delivery today. Let's see...beets, grapefruit, cabbage, onion, broccoli, strawberries(!) and on and on. They source locally as much as possible but will occasionally supplement (like the strawberries) with something else. They deliver to the house and a "personal" bin gives us more than enough produce for two people for a week. You're able to go onto the website and choose items you like, dislike and prefer. We've been very happy with them.
