Saturday March 27th, 10:00. This is a free class, though the room is limited. It will be held at crowhill, a private home in west seattle and the subjects covered will include starting plants from seed, starting plants from cuttings, starting plants from division, and how and when to up-pot to bigger containers. There will be opportunity for hands on practice of these techniques, and participants will leave with free plants for their garden. Donations towards planting mix and containers happily accepted, though in no way required. Please call 206.369.4429, or write to fireweeddesign@gmail to register. (please note there are TWO Ds in that name)

Please provide some additional information. Free classes are great but it would be nice to know who is teaching the class and their qualifications and experience. Horticulture is science based so having this information would be important. Thanks.

The teacher is a local, with a background in gardening, has taken advanced horticulture through the bellevue public schools, has a design certificate in permaculture, and has taught this material in an alternative high school in seattle. Please feel free to write with further questions :)
