crazy animal sounds in Gatewood?!?

    Did anyone else hear some crazy animal sounds at like 9 and midnight last night? Was it a seal? A crazy elephant? ?!?!?

    I TOTALLY heard it! I live in High Point and the sound made me think of an injured dinosaur or a elephant giving birth. CRAZY!

    Other posters, she is not talking about a local animal sound. This was Loud and bizarre. Clearly loud enough to reach both Gatewood and High Point.

    My best guess is a ship scraping against a piling or something. I've often read of ships giving off "moaning" sounds.

    You aren't crazy karen. I heard it too. In fact, the whole reason I came to the forums was to see if anyone else heard it!

    Yep, "elephant giving birth" is the one I heard!! I know the other two sounds and that was definitely NOT it.

    That is a good guess! My husband heard it too and we were baffled.
