Cops searching Admiral junction with searchlights?

  1. Anyone know what's going on? Was just letting my dogs out to use the bathroom and a cop was circling around a few times shining their searchlight around the lawns of the nearby houses. Strange stuff. Anyone have any idea what's up?

  2. A friendly request ... When you see/hear something like this, we appreciate getting a tip if you're able - 206-293-6302 text or voice, or editor@westseattleblog.com by e-mail. That reaches us IMMEDIATELY. Though we listen to the scanner as much as we can, police calls are not as easy as fire calls to ferret out as-they-happen, and almost always, our first tip to something of note (like the burglary arrests yesterday) comes from people in the area who see the unusual police activity and contact us; we then usually head out to see what we can find out.

That said, if you tell me where/when this happened, I might be able to find out. Thanks - TR

  3. Hmmm...doubt it's related but had to call 911 last night around the Admiral district. Had just closed the curtains when I saw a blue/silver Honda Fit pull up in front of our house, and back, up so it was parked very well at the curb. A girl jumped out, opened the back and lugged out a crappy used desk or piece of furniture and started running up our walk. As soon as she saw someone was watching, she doubled back, threw it back in the car, and they took off with no lights on. NO IDEA WHAT THIS WAS ABOUT. If you're dumping your crud on the parking strip and taking off, that's one thing, but to be running it up the front walk!? Good thing I have my security camera up and the cops have a good description of the car and occupants.

Doubt this was the same issue but was about the same time so odd....
