I won't get a chance to mention this on the main page till tonight, if at all (the news always comes first), but wanted to at least tell you guys, because this is another award about the community collaboration that makes WSB way more than just a news site - Last night WSB was honored with the Society of Professional Journalists' regional award for Online Community Engagement. In good company, too - KING5.com came in 2nd (an organization we get along with quite well, as is the case with the 3rd place winner, MyGreenLake.com). Our entry included some of the most enlightening and amazing comment threads from the home page PLUS the Forums and also other community-collaborative WSB components like Crime Watch.
On the heels of the national award last fall from the Online News Association for "Community Collaboration" - in the exact same spirit - just the latest proof that you all are the best community ever, online as well as offline. Thanks for being part of WSB.
