    I couldn't agree more. Now I want a pizza puttanesca. :-)

And obviously the WS Blog forum members know their stuff, as (IIRC) Giannoni's won the taste test way-back-when.

  4. Because link-bait stories are annoying, in that no one should have to give "Grub Street" 111 pageviews to look at that - here's the direct link to the Giannoni's mention:

Thanks, WSB. I just edited my original post with the direct link.
For the record, this is New York Magazine's food blog, so the commendation is nothing to sneeze at.
And notably, unless I missed something, Giannoni's is the *only* Seattle (or WA, for that matter!) establishment to make the list.

  6. As the lone dissenter in the WSB pizza finals..
    I must apologize to Giannoni's.

    obviously I missed something

  7. I stopped in and picked up a Bella salad tonite for dinner and resisted the urge to also order a small Puttanesca pizza. Giannoni's rocks!

  8. I'm delighted to see NY Magazine's Grub Street blog has discovered and celebrated what WSB's pizza judges articulated back in the fall of 2008. I'm less thrilled to see one of my copyrighted images used in the post without proper attribution.

  10. Thanks for all of the kind words, everyone! We feel so honored to have this happen. I am proud of my team!
Christopher - I could not believe that happened after we specifically made the point to tell her! I emailed her last night and it appears changed today - I was hopeful and glad to see they took care of it!
Thanks so much for your support, Sarah, Jan, Jo, LAP (and Tracy for the shortcut!!) Our regular customers keep us in business and we appreciate them so much!!
Keep an eye out for new businesses in Westwood, coming soon - I think it's going to be a great year here!

  11. Thanks for the hint. We've already reported one (Massage Envy) - your post here inspired me to check on something; story to come! (And we see NK Nails has its sign up too.)
