Providence HealthMemberProvidence is calling a Clinical Educator to Providence Home Health Services in Renton, WA.
The Clinical Educator provides clinical expertise and serves as a role model and consultant to Home Health Staff in the area of clinical skills; Functions as a collaborative partner to foster the delivery of high quality patient care by promoting staff professional growth, and supporting the development of staff from novice to expert. Provides leadership to enhance clinical practice, and serves as a resource for non-clinical educational opportunities.
This is a full time day shift position.
In this position you will:
• Develop, implement, deliver or coordinate, and evaluate educational programs to assure that staff demonstrates excellent clinical performance, professional development, and knowledge about home health care to assure compliance with all legal, regulatory, Providence system and agency-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with service line managers to coordinate orientation and mentoring of new clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Direct and coordinate mandatory educational activities in collaboration with Risk, Safety and Compliance.
• Identify, lead and/or participate in performance improvement projects that can be addressed with educational solutions.
• Deliver training programs through various methods and approaches such as in-person presentations and in-services, on-line training via Learning Management System technology, webinars, periodic skill fairs and demonstrations.
• Develop educational programs, materials and resources for staff (e.g. performs literature searches or other methods of inquiry) to provide the most current data for evidence-based practice.
Required qualifications for this position include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of three (3) years inpatient or Medicare Home Health experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years adult education experience.
• Current and appropriate Licensure (RN or other related fields) in the State of Washington.
• OASIS-C Certified or must obtain this certification within six months of date of hire or as certification course becomes available.
• Current Washington State Driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in nursing or healthcare education curriculum development with a variety of teaching methods.
• OASIS-C experience.
