Seeing how FAF was approached by Kitty Harbor to possibly take some kittens/young adults for adoption, they could really use the help these grants could provide.
Consider: The cats from Kitty Harbor are from east of the mountains and don't stand much of a chance being adopted there. (extremely high kill rate in shelters there).
FAF's issue is space. They also have a wait list of adult cats to come in to Next to Nature, so they have to be careful about leaving spots for them. (Currently Next to Nature and VCA West Seattle Veterinary Hospital are the only spaces donated for showing the cats - their "Adoption Center" if you will. So they are always in need of foster homes for cases like this and to allow cats awaiting adoption a break from the kennels from time to time.)
They are looking for those able to take a kitten, two, or three, to hold until space becomes available at Next to Nature or for the adoption events.
