CHRISTMAS TREE FOR NICKELSVILLE

Thought I sent this once but must have done something wrong or else my computer "spaced out".

Could someone donate a christmas tree, preferably a real one for Nickelsville? Maybe one us Volunteer-donars? Maybe one of the lots could donate one? Wouldn't have to be very big.

My friends where I live want to gather enough donations so they can have gas at least 2hrs, maybe more, to run their generator on Christmas Eve for tree lights and to charge their cell phones. Just because its hard times for them doesn't mean their shouldn't be a little Christmas spirit. I don't drive so can't get around to solicit for a tree. Maybe one of us donars can.

Betty, I work at the WS Nursery and as a perk of schlepping trees this time of year get a nifty deal of getting a free tree. I have two kids under two in my household and a tree is NOT going to happen for my family this year. I would love to donate it to Nickelsville if someone can come pick it up and take it down there. I'll be there tomorrow from 930-7. 935-9276.

Sounds great, JoB! No response yet today, and I won't be here on Monday or Tuesday, however I have alerted my co-workers and Mark (owner) as to what's happening so they're in the know. The person who comes by to pick it up can pick out ANY gorgeous tree that we have on the lot. Just mention to them to stop in at the counter and let someone know they're picking up the tree. Happy Holidays to ALL and thanks to Betty for such a generous idea!

**A stand for the tree will still need to be acquired as we only sell the fancy cast-iron kind here. Any available from a recent garage or basement clean-out?

If a legit tree stand can't be found might I suggest that the inventive guys at NV nail together a stand? Since it'll be outside and remain damp, it may not have the need for watering that an indoor tree would. Besides, we're 14 days away.A real tree would be wonderful. We may be able to pick it up tomorrow from WS Nursey as we live close by and we're at NV quite regularly.

  8. Generosity is a wonderful thing..
    everywhere it lands it grows...

i have put the two groups offering to pick up the tree and deliver it to Nickelsville in touch with one another :)

So far this one tree has brought 5 separate individuals together for a common cause...
it's amazing what we can accomplish when we work together.

and we don't even have it decorated yet :)

Thank you everybody who has made the TREE happen. I'll be at the party tomorrow and have a few decorations. Maybe some cookies?
