Hello everyone!
I\'m a recent transplant to West Seattle and need to get my \"baby\" checked over. I have a 2004 Saturn Ion that needs an oil change and I\'d like to have the brakes looked at too after the long trek from the midwest. I don\'t know much about cars, so I\'d like to find a place that\'s helpful and won\'t take advantage of that! Any pointers would be most appreciated. :)

Try Barnecuts on Admiral Way. There are cheaper places, but these guys are honest!

Let me second Tom\'s -- first time we\'ve found someone local whom we both trust . They even worked on our late, but beloved, 1968 Chrysler Newport Convertible -- some people wouldn\'t go near it.
They\'ve also accommodated our need for loaners, rides home, etc.
Sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread, thanks for all the recommendations. I\'m hoping to try Tom\'s later this week. :)
