Candidates - we need to pay attention !

  1. for those on here who support Herman Cain...do you also support this? Does it matter that this is how he thinks? What he believes?

Cain appears to be in target cross-hairs over lots of things he apparently did and denies or sort of denies doing...

Wonder what "serious" candidates believe...a) I will just acknowledge my past issues and nobody can hurt me...b) I will hide my past and hope and nobody can hurt me...

Candidates...psssst...hint...ALL things will be found out...and ALL things will hurt your perception!

His goal is to sell his new book and make as much money as possible. He and his campaign are so disorganized that they clearly did not expect to become a front runner. Now, when all these things are coming out, he's either going to have to get serious about running for president or drop out.

LOL all this kind of crap came out against Obama and it didn't keep you from voting for him. I think its good for these stupid things to come out. I get to see how he handles the political heat. If he were to actually win the nomination the liberal media would be on him a lot worst than this.

On one point I agree with thansen, now that he is a front runner its time to put up or shut up. If you are serious about being president time to get organized. If not stop wasting everyones time.

Well Bostonman...the sound bites and video I saw yesterday had him taking about 4 changing positions on this in the span of a day...so...if he were a serious candidate...he doesn't look too good now...and as far as pressure...no chance.

Not sure I remember Obama getting accused of and or being an alleged paying undisclosed $$ to the accusing party in a sexual harrassment case...and then denying anything. Refresh my memory...

Well number one as soon as he was accused he recused himself from his position and the Chief Legal officer and HR were allowed to independently investigate. They found no basis for the charge. The person was also paid some money but it was also done while he was not in position. He has gone on record saying if they got anything it was too much because he didn't do anything wrong.

I didn't say Obama was accused of sexual harrassment. I said this kind of crap meaning the whole thing with Reverend Wright. As far as sound bites go well I can find sound bites all day long and manipulate them to be what I want.

We will see in the end what happens.

    Posted 6 months ago #
  7. did any of you read the link I provided? It has nothing to do with the sexual harassment charge. So, there's more than one thing dogging this guy at the moment. And...now they are investigating illegal contributions from a non-profit. I don't know about you but I would want the man running for president to at least know the rules, and I would hope he wouldn't waffle on answers about sexual harassment charges. He didn't quite remember? Give me a break...when you are charged with something like that, you don't forget, no matter how inconsequential you try to make it.

i actually remember this right-wing allegation, but i dodn't know that cain was pushing it.

the more i hear from that guy, the dumber i realize he is.

no. i'm serious. i think that that guy has a very low IQ, and he's given me no reason to believe otherwise.

what? he wears glasses? does that make him look pensive and intellectual or something?

    good luck.

as a matter of fact, i think i'm going to send his campaign $1,000.

    is that legal?

  11. whether he's smart or dumb, he is making mistakes. He has changed his position on things a few times, now. It seems that he wants to pander to the masses, and is making excuses...and I'm sorry, but some of us would just like him to be upront and honest. I don't give a crap where he went to school..that doesn't make him beyond reproach !

    Posted 6 months ago #
  12. He might win the presidential election in ubeki-beki-stan-stan. Karl Rove is gonna make sure he doesn't beat Romney. Notice the leaked sexual harassment stuff, campaign finance scandals, plus in an interview today he didn't seem to know that China has nuclear weapons. Pizzaman is toast. His 15 min. are almost over.

Bizman of unquestioned achievment? Maybe unquestioned by you...

"Cain has released no earnings statements either during the time he was at Godfather’s Pizza or since.

If we look at sales figures which are in the public record, sales at Godfather’s Pizza, adjusted for inflation dropped over 40% from the year before he took over to his final years. It is hard to imagine that profits went up at this time. Godfather’s Pizza fell from the 5th largest Pizza chain when Cain took over to the 11th largest Pizza chain by the time he left the company 15 years later.

Cain bought Godfather’s Pizza in a management leveraged buyout. In general, management leveraged buyouts are a device that company managers use to defraud stockholders of company profits. I believe the only reason there is no fraud in this case is because Cain was unable to produce any profits in the years he was CEO at Godfather’s pizza. In other words, it was a fraud scheme that failed due to Cain’s inept management."

cain's demeanor and poise tell me that he can't handle complex situations. he seems prone to quick anger. to me, those qualities make him look stupid.

and that matters to me. during the bush II reign, for the first time ever, i realized that i was smarter and more intellectually curious than the president of the united states.

    i didn't like that.

now, i'm sure w could press the flesh, he was folksy, he remembered people's names years after having met them only once... a politician.

i went to IU. same school as dan quayle. does that make me a genius, kootch?

for one thing, SAT's are not a measure of intelligence. they're a measure of college preparedness. my SAT math scores sucked, even though i was in the 95th percentile of my high school graduating class in math.

but i'm not running for president.

thanks for the godfather's pizza info, dobro. i was wondering why everyone is touting cain as some kind of impressive business mogul, when godfather's pizza is pretty much nowhere.

what's the cite on that quote?

and, again, what in the hell does owning a pizza chain have to do with being president, and why does that give him better qualifications than barack hussein obama?

anyway, i was hoping he'd at least wipe out santorum, bachmann, and ron paul before he flamed out.

    next!

The attack on Obama was not over anything he'd said himself, but due to 'guilt by association' with Reverend Wright. Cain is drawing heat for his own actions, his own comments.

    Posted 6 months ago #
  15. redblack, just google- cain + godfather's pizza + failure - and you'll find that quote and more. But there's nothing to worry about with Cain. He has no chance at the nomination. Strictly amateur hour. His Repub opponents will make sure he goes down.

  16. We desperately need better Republican candidates, if only to keep Obama motivated.

Is Dan Savage still dabbling in Republicanism? I'd definitely consider him for Prez.

    Pros:

    —Scandal-proof. (Been there; done that.)

—A minority. (Not in Seattle, of course, but everywhere else.)

—Could help resolve Iran's sexual hang-ups.

    Cons:

—Hard to tell when he's kidding sometimes.

—Would he have to give up "Savage Love"?

—Not sure the world is ready for a gay superpower.

    So...I have to ask...although I don't want to...

If President Obama is so aweful and the alternative party is apparently not sending anyone to the plate that appears any different in your eyes...Who would make you happy as President or even a candidate Kootch (anyone)? Seriously.

In the current circumstances - even with 20/20 hindsight...would MCCain and Palin faired any better...done anything differently? We'll never know for sure...but bottom line it...this president faced unmatched challenges in this term. Much of which out of his control and most attempts at solutions were balked by GOP filabustering...I don't know much...that is clear...but I do know that the next president will face even tougher challenges than now...and there better be someone in place with really strong motivation to get up every day and face these head on. Further...those in the House and Senate had best start learning to put Americans first before Politics.

I too have some disenchanted views of our country right now...but not because of one person in DC...but the whole lot of them in front of the camera every day thinking they know what's best for everyone...

    Posted 6 months ago #
  21. 365 stairs...

    you are right...

this isn't so much about one candidate as about the philosophy that winner takes all...
all being the American middle class taxpayer's pocketbooks
and that the end justifies the means.

That's about as opposite to the notion of democracy as you can get

but it is what is used to justify the kinds of obstructionism and cronyism that have every worker concerned for their jobs and is making increasing numbers of retirees homeless...
people who worked their entire lives for the social security they thought they wouldn't have to depend upon because they had pensions..
that is until winner takes all bankrupted their pensions in reorganization bankruptcies that left the companies and investors more profit than ever but decimated the worker's pensions...

And...in my dream world...I see the powerful media talking heads...(from all sides)...Rush, Hannity, Oberman, Maddow...actually assisting the American values they report about with solution based discussions vs. back to back attacks on each other... I trump your comment with this research and bias reporting opinion blather...

All this pubic grand standing (from media and politicians) does is further perpetuate the problems and further mis-shape views and opinions - where folks then think because Rush or Oberman (and other ilk) said it...it MUST be true...so there...Blah..Blah...

Think for yourselves people! Use your vote wisely...I have a feeling...this next election might actually count for something...or really hurt...

i have to believe it will really count for something

i have loved my country enough not to leave it for nearly 50 years now... i was politically active by the time i was 14...

but for the first time I am beginning to think of leaving as the only viable option for our retirement.

we can't afford for hubby to retire for another decade so leaving isn't really a viable option right now.

    this election matters too much.
it has to count for something.
there are too many of us who count on it.

  25. Jan, regarding the New Yorker article, another opinion hit piece on Republicans. They can say what they want but I believe Carville said... it's the economy stupid. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if they are partisan. Such is life.

I am glad you pointed me to the original link. Above the story you wanted us to read is a Link that I found quite interesting. You know, the one about Wall Street flourishing more since Obama came into office? Here is the link http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2011/11/07/362488/wall-street-profit-obama-bush/

To your point. Many of us on the right think that Planned Parenthood hurts the black community substantially. We find disconcerting if not offensive for so many abortions to be available and we find labeling a group of people offensive. Too many well intentioned but misguided progressive policies have hurt the black family. LBJ thought his career was over with his party because he was pushing civil rights. But the Republicans were with him.

God Forbid a business savvy black conservative end up being President some day. That would certainly show that every person of color does not need the government looking out for them.

Some of you will find my rant prejudiced. It is not. I personally am mystified as to why Red Black calls Cain dumb when Senator Obama made tons of gaffes. But Obama had a friendly beltway media. Cain has conservative radio, but the Politico story was not full of facts, mostly conjecture. Journalism, whether right or left needs facts.

Back to the point. I believe Mr. Cain wants what is best for all people, and he sees people of color not even given a chance at life. I am glad he speaks out.

I had some good tangents to go of on but I wanted to keep the post from being too long.

    Posted 6 months ago #
  26. DBP, You know, not that Dan Savage is a conservative but since parenthood I bet a few views have changed.

If the Republican party embraced the gay community better, they would win most elections. If 10% of the population is gay, that would be a gaym changer.

Evangelicals and LGBT. Now wouldn't that be something. Well somewhat.

    Posted 6 months ago #
  27. Business savvy? black man who seems to have a past. But..oh, someone is just setting him up. 4 women have come forward now. The point is that he may be a perv...the point is..there are multiple women reporting sexual aggression towards them. Can that seriously be overlooked? Are you the type of man who can overlook that? I don't give a crap whether he's black or brown or green or pink...I don't think he's qualified, I think he's too volatile, and I think he has a way of making excuses for all the things that he does wrong...it's always someone else's fault.Someone is setting him up, someone is racist....hey, he's playing in the big leagues now, and he'd better get a thick skin. Conjecture? There's a name today..hand reaching up her skirt, etc. I do not believe this is a huge effort just to set him up. Too many coincidences. But you believe what you want to believe.

And I will say this...being what you might call "business savvy" does not qualify one to be the president of this country. One has nothing to do with the other, IMHO...

once more, you can't take the article at face value, you can only come back with something about Obama tit for tat...what's said by Libs is meaningless, yet you can crap on Libs and Obama whatever/whenever you want. It's tiring. This is the New Yorker, not a political rag.

Oh, and many of us think that Planned Parenthood helps many blacks and many whites and many asians, and many...well, you know where I'm going. It has to do with the services of Women's health, birth control, those things that many women can't afford through regular channels. Why is abortion the only thing focused on. It's a legal medical procedure. No reason why they shouldn't be done. For anyone, be they black, white, green, pink. Get over it, Rich.

and that Journalism thing about whether left or right, we need facts. Yep, I agree..honest facts. Why does it always seem that you and other conservatives believe the truth only comes from a conservative point? Us lying, ignorant, evil libs..how can we stand ourselves? Did it ever occur to any of you that you may be wrong about some things?

Cain and Obama are nothing alike, except that they share a skin color...

    Posted 6 months ago #
  28. and if those women came forward, named themselves, gave you the intimate details - 'cause that's what you all want...you want to hear the details, not just the facts....would you continue to make excuses for the man?

    Posted 6 months ago #
  29. Jan, You are passionate. Bravo. We just don't always see eye to eye.

You are jumping to some suppositions that are wrong in my opinion. This is going to be long.

You asked someone earlier if they had read the original thread (Planned Parenthood). Then you answered me about the charges leveled at Cain. I would have added much more in my previous post to clarify had I known we would delve into that issue.

First. The New Yorker. Hmmmmm. Opinion. David Remnick. He has an impressive history. Please look at his Wikipedia bio. This guy is inundated with the New York media and some of the socio political leanings of that city. He's a sports fan too!!! I like that. He is what I and others of my ilk call a left leaning journalist. He has had some independent thoughts not endorsed by the DNC, but Jan, He seems to be a liberal. FINE. So be it. He has been successful and written some very interesting books on all kinds of subjects, but his writing and works politically slant left. We are OK with that. We just disagree. It is not personal. In 2010 he released a book about our current Prez. I bet he never considered writing one about W. Childhood friend of Bill Maher!!!! I bet they had some fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second. Republicans do not like nor want candidates who are sexist, racist, or whatever bad ...ist you try to label us (well some of you). Capitalist is not a bad word. Unethical and greedy Capitalists are bad.

Third, Politico's first article was not the best type of journalism because it would not supply facts. But it accomplished the desired effect. It brought out more questions and two other women who say that they were uncomfortable, harassed, and needed to say something. That is a problem for Cain.

Facts yes, DNA from stained dresses, yes. Tweets with pictures from people named Weiner, yes. First hand accounts of hands reaching up a skirt is much more substance than unnamed sources. Politico's story not so good .... well two women said they felt uncomfortable with the head of the former Restaurant Association but they don't want to come public in fear of getting blitzed by the media..... I can't blame them for not wanting to release their names, but accusations are just that. I do not want the gory details but yes, some do want the details. But there has to be facts. Look at the mess the French guy had to put up with recently when he was in New York. He was almost trapped by lies.

I never said I supported Mr. Cain, but at least he has been successful in business. You cannot deny that. He has brought forth other discussions that are making people notice. Whether you like 9-9-9 or not, it is refreshing to hear some different ideas instead of the usual Chicken in a Pot pitch we get from the others.

Hear me out, if he has a problem and is lying about it, I certainly do not want him to be the frontrunner or Republican Presidential candidate. But I also vividly remember the charges brought against the Duke LaCrosse team which most lefties immediately took the side of the "woman" who lied. Those open minded professors and Jesse Jackson types sure didn't apologize at excoriating the "Rich Lacrosse Kids" did they? Class Warfare. Don't you love it!

Like I am going to support that stuff. I should be offended you would even think that. But Gloria Allred saying a TSA agent touched her where she hasn't been touched in a long time, and she liked it! comment. Should I be offended or just snicker?

To some of your other statements. Abortion late enough kills. Period. It is legal, but it kills. Hence, the late term abortion ban. You deal with it. I don't like it. I know why people do it. I understand why, but I just don't like it. But again, it is legal. It should have been a states issue, not Federal. That is why we fight it and will continue until we are gone. There is no in between.

Planned Parenthood does help lots of women and couples. But it is not sacred. Quit acting like it is.

Actually Jan, Cain and Obama have plenty of similarities. Both have been successful in their careers. Both men came from modest backgrounds. Both men have had success in their chosen careers. Now both are under fire and both work with Wall Street and Lobbyists. Kind of sad too.

They do differ in some glaring areas. Obama is not a capitalist, Cain is. Obama has held political office where as Cain has not. Cain has been involved in Politics and as a Lobbyist for many years and has some political savvy. Obama cut his teeth in Chicagoland. That is serious work. FIB (you Illinois and Wisconsinites know what that is!!!) In fun of course.

Cain is involved with the Koch brothers and has not thrown them under the bus like Obama did to his Spiritual Advisor and Liberation Theology mentor Reverend Wright. I didn't even mention Ayers and Dorn. Whoops. (How a man, with connections to an unrepentant terrorist could become President!!!) Beyond me. Oh I remember, his dad was a "freedom fighter" for Kenya. (And that my friends is why he supported the Anti Khaddafi rebels.)

I would say both men have done well in many areas but have flaws. Cain's are on display right now.
As it should be with the Pre-Primary time.

Jan, I work in the media. It is inundated with Liberals (and many of the youngsters don't even know they are!!!)

I re-read a paper I wrote in college about Israelis and Palestinians. It was interesting. My source material leaned to the "plight" of the Palestinians. My paper reflected a bit of that thought but also there was some support for Israel. Over time I see how, now I would have written it differently. But, I also went to a University that was slightly liberal, with some conservative aspects. But the conservative aspects were not mentioned as much as the liberal ideas were. I took history classes in college and sadly they were lacking in the full truth.

Zinn, A People's History.... No I do not trust a lot of the lib history or media. None of us should if they are in bed with the government. Conference calls with the White House by Stephanopolous and other media types?

The White House spinning everything and not just this Presidency. The press is there to keep the players honest.

Like I said. Politico (former Washington Post ((a left leaning rag)) writers did not put together a good story but it got the ball rolling.

It looks like they will get Cain to end his run for office, but a man who only had a 30 percent chance to beat cancer did survive. And if the allegations are false, then he will really bounce back and the egg on the medias face will be thick.

Personally, I like Gingrich better. We know his flaws.

No excuses for the man. Either he is guilty or not. We shall see what happens.

    Posted 6 months ago #
  30. Oh, I forgot, Republican's are always RIGHT. That's the way we lean.

Think of it as which side of the road you drive on. America drives on the right side of the road. The more conservative side. Britain on the left, the more socialist side. God help you in Russia. Cars on the right side but steering wheels opposite of ours (lots of Japanese and Euro imports)

    Posted 6 months ago #
  31. "No I do not trust a lot of the lib history or media"......now substitute the word "conservative" for "lib". Opinions, opinions, opinions. There seems at times that there is no middle..one side simply doesn't believe the other, and the 'twain shall never meet.

other than that..yes, we disagree, and I feel that you are wrong in your beliefs on so many levels..I also feel that no matter how we talk, we won't get much closer on beliefs. Funny how that is. If we can't compromise, how in the hell can we ever expect congress and the white house to compromise. If Obama stands his ground against them, he is wrong, if he gives in he is wrong..guess the Repubs think they are well on their way to getting their main wish...a one term prez. Now, if they'd only get serious about what is best for this country..to represent the wants of the people who think they are doing a crummy job. No?

Differences make the world go round, Rich..guess we should celebrate that.

And Cain? well, time will tell...

He's off da plantation..that's what has the left all a dither. They have black candidate that doesn't agree with the liberal line of giving subsistance entitlements for votes. We've seen all this before. So we have an unemployed big hair bimbo, with a crackpot liberal headline hunter looking for a pay day. What's new about the body politik? Looks like she came out of the Gennifer Flowers casting agency. Cash registers ringing is all I hear. If it happened, the dizzy dit should have reported a sexual assault..how convenient it comes out now. I don't wait 13 years to act on my victim status..would you? Details are the facts...without them we have allegations without evidence. What a wimp she had as a boyfriend if this has any merit.. he just heard the news he made a grab for her genitals and shrugged it off? What a farce.

  33. it took him 13 years to get up the gumption to run for prez...now that he is, it comes out. If you purely dismiss it on her looks, that says something about you and your beliefs. Does it also mean that if women wear provocative clothes, they deserve male advances, perhaps deserve that rape they got?? I refuse to dismiss what I'm hearing about him. And more, I'm not crazy about the way he is handling this. It's very telling.

Bimbo? How do you know that? You've met her? Oh, that's right..you're all knowing...I forgot !

if she didn't look like that, if she was a conservative looking, business suit wearing woman, you'd dismiss it by saying why would anyone wanna play with that? I'm surmising, but imagine that's how it would be. Sorry...your opinion holds no water with me...

i don't know how successful he is, or how successful godfather's pizza has ultimately been.

i know he claims to be a washington outsider, yet he was CEO of a lobbying organization.

what i can deny is that being successful in business qualifies one to be president. some of you made similar and similarly disparaging claims about community organizers.

    see how this works?

  40. kootch...

the only thing that stops the sexual harassment claims about Herman Cain becoming a pattern is a confidentiality agreement signed by the women who reported their assault at the time and were simply paid off.

an agreement, btw, that Herman has publicly breached.

the only reason we get to hear this story now is that this woman did not report and was not paid a bribe for her silence.

    as for why now?
Herman put himself in the limelight as a presidential candidate.

now lets talk about those bimbo remarks...

those kind of remarks are the reason mothers once counseled their daughters to hide their shame instead of prosecuting their attackers.

    That's sexual harassment kootch...
no matter how much good old boys might titter behind their drinks...
    it's still socially unacceptable.

    HMCRich

your semen stain remark just points out your double standard...

Republicans nearly brought down a presidency and certainly distracted the president they prosecuted and this country from a very real threat that resulted in 9/11 because they they found a semen stain....

but a woman coming forward and submitting herself to the kind of remarks that have been made here and those Rush Limbaugh made publicly is simply making groundless accusations unless she can show a semen stain?

why? because Cain is a Republican?

Clarence Thomas flouts the law from the highest bench in the land because of the same kind of remarks being made against this woman that were once made against another.

    Frankly, this turns my stomach.
Not because I am some old prude
but because the same kind of good old boy remarks are still being made against women who are sexually assaulted by men.

    *****

it doesn't matter if she is good looking
it doesn't matter if her skirt is "too short" or her top "too low".

    sexual harassment is sexual harassment
and this report crossed the line into sexual assault

it's time to stop men with money, power and influence from getting away with this kind of behavior

and it's way past time to stop making derogatory remarks against the women who report it.

He's off da plantation..that's what has the left all a dither

yeah, i'm terrified of herman cain. someone get me a wet wipe.

sarcasm aside, let me put it this way, to address something rich said way upthread:

anyone who would put himself in a position to be accused of sexual harassment - not twice! not thrice! but four times! - and then, knowing that this was in his past, go on to run for president... and then act successively suprised, flippant, and annoyed when the "liberal" media asks him legitimate questions about it... and then profess to have - oops! - forgotten about it until someone reminded him of it just the other day...

    is an idiot.

and he is not qualified to be president.

    next!

oh, and to turn the tables a little bit: when are you guys going to stop absolving vile behavior by republicans just because, "well, clinton did it!?"

  42. and now, a second woman has stepped forward. One of the original accusers. Not a bimbo, was paid off, and is very plausible. Kootch, I'm sure you'll dismiss her, too...but I'm thinking you'd be wrong.

  43. is this man an idiot? This is all a big joke to him? and , obviously, to everyone else in the room , too...outrageous!

Another link that does nothing. If I was wrongly accused about something I would joke around too. These are baseless accusations from people looking for a payday.

The only difference between Cain and lets say Bill Clinton is Clinton did lie in front of all voters and actually did use his power to receive oral sex.

    Posted 6 months ago #
  45. no, there is a difference...Bill Clinton didn't harass anyone...she was more than willing. Until she was caught. Herman Cain seems to have an attitude about women in general. If a woman makes an accusation, she is a bimbo, out for money, etc. etc. If she comes forward and explains what happened, she is still a bimbo, a liar, out for money and a book deal. They can't win. When are you all going to understand that women (at least this one, and the one's I know) take this stuff seriously. It's not something to be laughed at, made fun of, swept under the carpet. Look what Penn State is going through right now because of sexual harassment and abuse because people opted to take it lightly and look the other way. Herman Cain wants to be the ultimate leader in this country. He acts like he only wants to lead a part of this country, and places women at a lesser level. Not the man I would want for my president. He simply doesn't show respect for a big part of the population.

And, lest you argue some more about it, let me be clear. Bill Clinton should have kept it in his pants.I do not condone what he did, even if his partner in crime was more than willing.

Your opinion is what someone else claims from years ago. Coincidently at the same time he picks up steam to run for President. Give me a break. I am smart enough to know when something looks like it holds water and this thing sinks quick. I don't take these as anything more than baseless acqusitions with no merit. He has never been sued, lost a job, been disciplined for these things. If you are an employee and the owner of a company does this you would be immediatly looking to report it, not waiting until he is in the news.

I am glad you take sexual assult against woman seriously. It doesn't mean all woman who report sexual assult were actually assulted. After all these years the credibility goes away.

  47. Bostonman...

did you miss the part about the first two women who did report him and were paid off?

do you really think they were paid off because their claims were baseless?

It takes a lot more than a story to generate a payday and a confidentiality agreement strong enough to keep those women from speaking out when Cain became a Presidential hopeful.

I am guessing their attys didn't write up the agreement because Cain feels free to vilify them publicly ..

victimizing them again because he thinks they can't talk back.

you may think a victim loses credibility if they don't prosecute immediately, but I don't.

As a former victim of sexual assault in the workplace, I can assure you that the decision to prosecute and the willingness of the authorities to even hear the case is a lot more complicated than you might think.

my assault didn't go away simply because the jerk I worked for got away with it... nor did that of nearly every other woman he employed.

however, when the GM walked into the sales manager's office to find his pants around his ankles because he was expecting a female sales rep to walk in with an offer, he was promptly fired.

No saleswoman at that company was ever compensated,
not even the one he dropped his drawers to greet :(

Gennifer Flowers was willing.. but not Paula Jones, not one bit. She WOULDN"T take a nuisance settlement... and she got $680,000 I believe. And she has a witness.. state trooper.

    Jan?

"She has stated that she doesn't want money. But...you believe what you want to believe. Just keep an eye on Citizen Cain."

Though her lawyer Gloria Allred painted a respectable and prestigious education and employment history for Sharon Bialek, 50, just a day later it has been revealed that she has not held a job for more than two years and has filed for bankruptcy twice

The 50-year-old is a single mother and suburban homemaker who lives in a large five bedroom house with her fiance - who said he first heard about the 'shocking' allegations on Friday

And she goes up and hugs him at a campaign rally, like "old friends"? Who would do that to some one who allegedly assaulted them? Verrrry strange.

    uh huh... sure.

Or the better one... it paid off so well the first time, go for it again. Got a little too greedy second time around?

Karen Kraushaar, 55, filed the complaint while working as a spokeswoman at the Immigration and Naturalization Service in the Justice Department in late 2002 or early 2003, with the assistance of her lawyer, Joel Bennett, who also handled her complaint against Cain. (serial accuser methinks)

And just what did she want?

To settle the complaint at the immigration service, Kraushaar initially demanded thousands of dollars in payment, a reinstatement of leave she used after the accident earlier in 2002, promotion on the federal pay scale and a one-year fellowship to Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, according to a former supervisor familiar with the complaint. The promotion itself would have increased her annual salary between $12,000 and $16,000, according to salary tables in 2002 from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

About 200K in wages, a blackmail promotion, a year off with pay... very credible Jan, very credible. The nightmare of every male supervisor. Note to all male employers DO A BACKROUND CHECK.. Especially credit history and legal filings !!! Or avoid the issue entirely. Newly divorced or previous period of unemployment? .... run like hell. Risk Management.

  50. look...you can feel however you want. NO one in this world is perfect and has a perfect background. This is NOT aobut Bill Clinton. This is NOT well, if we overlooked one, we should overlook all. This is NOT about Ms. Bialek's past. And the second woman who has come forward against her own wishes...you're gonna write her off, too? You honestly think there's an effing conspiracy by someone who wants to get Mr. Cain? If you really think that, then I feel sorry for you. Bringing up a woman's past, saying she's just doing it for money..what/next you'll say she was dressed provocatively, so she was asking for it? It's all for money? Is that what you think all women are about? You really have such a skewed/low opinion of women that you can't believe it might be real? They're blond, they haven't had a perfect life in your eyes, so they're just money hungry. WOW! How offensive is that? And then there's this:

    http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/right-wing-smears-herman-cain-accusers-karen-kraushaar-sharon-bialek-disgusting-offensive-article-1.975909?localLinksEnabled=false

So..Kraushauer has filed two complaints in her life and she's a "serial accuser"? Oh, please. And then pro-Cain websites call her a "ugly bitch", and he says that anyone who tries to smear him should"think twice"? The women realize that he will come out with both barrels firing so to speak. They know that everything in their past lives will be fuel for showing them as dishonest at best. Yet..he's clean as a whistle? Give me an effing break!

And we won't even go into how ignorant your last statement is.
