   I'm looking for cake decorating supplies that are a little fancier/better quality than the display in the grocery store aisle. I'm mostly looking for pre-made sugar or marzipan decorating items. Any suggestions?

   Don't know about sugary bits, but Husky Deli sometimes has marzipan fruits and I think they sell canned marzipan you could use to make your own decorations. If you were to go that route, you'd also need some paste food coloring, available at JoAnn's for sure but I would guess Metropolitan Market carries it too.

   It's not in WS, but I've been to Home Cake Decorating Supply Co near Northgate. Here is the Yelp review with a map: http://www.yelp.com/biz/home-cake-decorating-supply-co-seattle

   I haven't been up there in over three years (I do not enough time to bake fancy treats unfortunately), but I do remember the place was small and cluttered but they had a lot of cool stuff. I'm sure you will find what you need there and have fun looking around!

   It may be worth going over to Bakery Nouveau and talking to Chef William. You could ask him if he could order the marzipan for you, just tack it onto his next order from Peterson's, which is a specialty ingredient supplier for most bakeries around town. You may get stuck with a 20 lb bucket though.

   Sur La Table may still have the section totally dedicated to cake decorating, professional grade. Worth a call.

   Sur La Table in Pike Place Market is as good as it gets, but I haven't been to Home Cake Decorating Supply. I look forward to checking it out soon.

   m is correct. I went to the Home Cake Decorating Supply Co a couple months ago and even though it's small and crowded, they have everything your heart dreams of for cake and candy making.
