From most of reviews I've read praises the food at Cafe Revo, but what about the service? How are the servers, hostess, bartender, ect?
Please let me know what you all think I'm trying to find a place for an important celebration for my sister.

I've been there a few times and each time no one is at the front desk to greet me and I've had to wait a few minutes to be acknowledged. Service after I've been seated has been slow as well, and this has been at times when the dining room is not very full. Not so slow that I'd never go back, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're in a hurry or want quick attention. They have been very friendly and nice, though.
In my experience, the service has been acceptably leisurely (it is not one of those places that tries to rush you through your meal, which is becoming too commonplace in my opinion), friendly, and proficient.
As maybe was described above, the service is casual and that's good for me. Never has anything come to the table that I didn't order, never has anything been forgotten. And the wait staff is not overly attentive. As a habit I tell wait staff not to fire up my main course until they see me finishing my appetizer. I like a respite between courses.
It's nice to see advocates of "dining" for a change. Too often is the conversation about how long one had to wait for something at "X" restaurant. So much attention toward instant gratification.
It's good to slow down a meal and enjoy the surroundings. McDonald's will still be there if you want fast food ;)
learnnlove...not exactly fair to allude to "rumors" on here. Either tell it straight or don't bring it up. It's not fair to the business, if what you think you know isn't true.
JanS: fine ill take that comment out but trust me, some of what i said has some truth to it, lets just say im a good source to ask
zgh, while I can definitely appreciate "dining" and not being rushed through a meal, I would say my experiences with Revo were a lot slower than that - being seated and waiting 10 minutes for a menu or glass of water is not "dining," but being overlooked and/or staff being overwhelmed. Plus, there is a way for waitstaff to be available to you without hovering over you - long periods of time went by with no one coming anywhere near to our table to enable us to ask for something.
Oh, I agree completely. I'm just saying, there seems to be a glut of people these days who don't want to take their time and enjoy a good meal and the atmosphere. That's all.
