   Prediction: He'll buy/start a network with all the misfit toys from the right.

   I'm very sad to see him leave; I'm desperately afraid that the R's will start sounding reasonable again and that the voters will fall for it.

   BTW, this business of means-driven social security (rich collecting less) is the first step to eliminating it altogether. Way back when it was started, they specifically determined to make it insurance so that it wouldn't be treated like "welfare." Even then, the people of the United States were too selfish to support "entitlement" programs and that was back when we were a much more generous, enlightened populous.

   So I would have loved to see Glenn at his most publicly outrageous until 2012.

   Yeah, he may be off Fox but he's certainly not gone. He's still got his "news" website, radio programs, and I think he'll start his own show.

    republicans invented dirty political pool and name-calling, but they kind of stink at it when someone stands up to them.

    lastly, think about this for a second: republicans are making fun of the anti-bullying campaign because they're bullies.

    but what if the reason for the termination of Glenn Beck's show has more to do with his political ambitions than with his broadcasting aspirations?

    JoB, my initial response was that I was happy he'd lost his job but what if it opens him up for candidacy? I'd rather have him on air where someone could keep an eye on him. And since he's a local boy could he be considering local politics? Eeks!

    On the air GB at his peak reached a couple of million viewers. On his own he will be lucky to draw a crowd of a couple of hundred. I remain in awe of the energy this screw-ball draws.

    but when i say the word "teabagger," i'm a bully and a potty-mouth.

    puleeezeee redblack.... whilst I for one am glad to see that bombastic fool off the air.... the franchise fee for trash talking is low, and the left is as adroit as the right. In fact, I would give the nod to the left for the more inflammatory predispositions. I mean, c'mon reason, logic, are not their strong suit. I will give socialists. communists, Marxists. facista, Trotskyites, some attempt at a discourse.no matter how conveluted, No, I will never call you any of those things.... you are as pure a reactionary as ever drawn breath.

    Beck, like Eyman, does not have the stones to run for office as he would possibly be held accountable if in fact he won. Plus, he wouldn't be able to make as much money, which is the reason Palin resigned rather than finishing out her term. Beck prefers to stand on the sidelines and criticize and point out how he could save the good old U. S. of A without fear of ever having his ideas tested. Those who can, do; those who can't, commentate.
