Bus Route 57 to West Seattle

  1. Many of you who use the bus to get to work know the headache that is the 57 on the way home in the evening. It is rarely on time and without excuse. I have written Metro and received the response that it will be that way during viaduct construction. Not a good answer. I spoke in length to one of the drivers and they believe it will take a larger collective voice to make a change. The drivers complain, but that gets nowhere. Here is the link to voice your opinion. http://metro.kingcounty.gov/cs/FeedbackBusRide.html I think it's best to do this now before things really get bad during the construction. Thanks all!

  2. The re-route is crazy. Last time I rode a 57 home I had to double check to make sure The Skipper and Gilligan weren't taking the bus on a three hour tour.

  3. its not on time often in the afternoon and I wish it ran more often including mid day. An express 57 would be very nice as well. reliable bus service is one thing genessee hill is missing. the 51 running more often would help as well, or at leats have it run in both directions!

  4. Please voice your opinions using that link. At least if they hear it form the riders, it might make a difference!

Living on Alki sucks if you needed to ride the bus to get to work and back. I did that for two years and then moved to the Junction. Less stress. I complained years ago about it. Of course, I see nothing has changed.

What's with the stupid re-route any way? I caught the 57 home last night after the 37 was really late the night before and had no idea about the re-route.
