goodgracesParticipantReaching out to see if I can commiserate with anyone . . . when you’re in bed with a fever and aches on the nicest weekend of the year, it seems like you’re the only person on the planet who is feeling this way. I haven’t heard of anyone else with the flu this time of year, so I’m curious if I’m just not hearing about it or whether I truly am the only “lucky one.”
This is day 5 for me — classic flu symptoms — and it was a pain when it started, not to mention now. Patience is not my strong suit.
Anyone else surprised (and felled) by a late-season visit from Dr. Crud? How long did it last, and please oh please tell me there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

me on 28th Ave SWParticipantI have 2 different friends on FB who started their flu on May 9th (so day 5 today). One sounds like she may be feeling better now the other not. Sadly, you are not alone. Hang in there! Much worse when the sun is out. : (

JiggersMemberIf it makes you feel any better, I’ve been in the hospital for three straight weeks now…( Whooping cough has risen to its highest outbreak in this State ever the last month. Now I don’t have that, but all hospitals have had their share of patients with it. People are gross and dirty.

goodgracesParticipantOh I’m both heartened to hear I’m not alone, but sad because that means others have been struggling. Jiggers — I am sending healing vibes to you, and you, too JoB. I know that the flu is not a simple matter for you guys.
I am on Day 6 and I am really grateful to be starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now just praying the kids and hubby will be spared!

JiggersMemberI hope you went to the doctor at least. Most people think they are tough and don’t need a doctor. They think a hot shower and a beer will cure it. They may feel better for a few hours but it gets worse not better. They allowed themselves to worsen without getting proper treatment immediately. They put everyone around them at risk since the virus has strengthened. People are stupid.

smokeycretin9Participant“People are stupid.”
HEY, I resemble that remark!
Though, the whiskey and honey cant hurt? Can it?
Hope you are better Jiggers.
