boarding for aggressive dogs?

  1. Our dog loves people but seems to hate other dogs (rescue dog with a bad past). Does anybody know if there are kennels in the area that will take a dog that can't play well with other dogs? Thanks!

In the past when I had a similar dog situation, I boarded with a kennel that had an option to pay extra for "private" yard time (instead of going out with the rest of the boarders). This kennel was north of Everett, tho... convenient for dropoff/pickup when I was heading to Anacortes. Don't know of any local kennels like that; just an FYI for your search. Good luck!

  3. Have you thought about in-home pet sitting? I know the people who run Muddy Paws Pet Sitting and Dog Walking and they are fantastic. http://www.campmuddypaws.com

Not sure about the aggressive dog policy but we take ours to Holiday Kennels in Kent. Really nice people and good rates too.

Grandma's Pet Lodge is awesome also. I'm not sure if she accept 'dog selective' dogs, but give her a call. Her number is 206-407-8100.

Melanie Cease from sitstaynplay stays with our dogs. She is amazing and affordable. I would highly recommend her. Her number is 206-650-5748!

  10. Wow, thanks, JoB! Kennels that accept intact males and females in heat are hard to find. I normally use an in-house sitter, but I've bookmarked their site for future reference: http://www.myownly.com/

  11. Myonlykennel is the only actual kennel in the Seattle area i found that will take my little Yuki... who can still be people aggressive if you don't know how to handle him ...

they not only take him..they do a really good job with him.

the best resource for boarding a "problem" dog is often your own vet... that's where mine go most of the time.
