Is there anything that can be done about this guy who numerous folks have been reporting on here on various threads about reckless, threatening driving? My boyfriend had a run in with him today, same license plate as was mentioned earlier. Honking, cussing, near-miss hitting, very close-to-accident cutting off... This seems to be escalating as time goes on and I don't want to see someone get hurt.

report his reckless driving to the police

So the car in question looks something like this?

Cait, I would like to report him at least (inevitably he's going to get into trouble, and wouldn't it be better if the police had already heard of him?). I'm not easily rattled, but there is something wrong with this person. Not your usually road-rage or arrogance - he's a real freak.
.
If you want to contact me at aiesposito@yahoo, maybe we can plan to tag-team the police, ask to speak to the same officer or something.Posted 4 months ago # -
Call the WS precinct, or, if you can invest the time, drop by. Just be factual about what's been happening, maybe point out the multiple encounters described on the blog and how this person just seems to be a bad apple and maybe a danger. They may or may not speak with someone but telling them seems the right thing to do.

People need to call 911 to report the driver as it is happening. Note as much information as possible (license plate number, car description, and especially direction of travel). I have reported a couple of vehicles for aggressive, dangerous, and/or erratic driving and the 911 dispatcher has always said they are sending a car immediately. Once it happened on I-5 when a car was going 100+ mph, weaving through traffic, and following too closely. He obviously ended up far ahead of me on the freeway, but I saw a police car come up an onramp with lights flashing, and soon after I passed the driver and officer pulled over to the shoulder.

Sarah - I had that same thought, however, given the nature of the way this guy drives, it may not be in your best interest to be on the phone with ANYONE while he's near you. I'll encourage him to call the precinct today and give them a run down of what happened. Amalia - just emailed you.

I had problem with him last week. We were crossing the intersection at Cal/Admiral, in the crosswalk with the light in our favor, and he continued to nose up into the crosswalk to block the way. I stopped at the car and made eye contact, thinking he'd move back - but he just glared at me. Figured it was best to move on then risk him running into the stroller. What an as*

Someone must know who this dude is. He is someone's partner, father, grandfather, brother, co-worker, or neighbor. Maybe he even reads the West Seattle Blog...

Will someone please share his license plate number, or at least the last 3 or 4 digits?
Thanks

This time I called 911. For the record, this was a driver who violently tried to make me crash but NOT the BMW driver. I was so shaken I had to hang up, but when I called back from work, I was told that the police would not even pull over the driver unless they themselves witnessed a violation. Not even if they had multiple complaints.
.
This person attacked me this time because I recognised the license plate after s/he nearly hit a car next to me and I tried to get a look at the driver. At least that's the only reason I can think of, that they noticed me trying to look over at them. He waited for 10 minutes in the right lane and then attacked me across 2 lanes (on I-90 at this point). But don't bother calling the cops, they "can't do anything."

Lic plate: 0[2 other numbers] UST. Dark Mazda. Total freak who will probably be dead from his own stupidity soon. I'm done fretting.Posted 3 months ago # -
You know, WSB could have a separate tab for these kinds of posts. It could act as a repository for sure-to-be upcoming civil cases involving discussed drivers. For example, when (not if) the Z4 driver badgers the wrong person and they both end up in civil court, these posts would be a strong testament against Z4 in a he-said, (s)he-said type scenario.

I agree. Another category that would be helpful is off-leash dogs. And another: off-leash dogs in Seattle Parks. And, of course: cars that do not stop for pedestrians in crosswalks. And another, people who think it is fine and dandy to park on sidewalks. And, of course those who think it is fine to completely block a sidewalk (even for a minute or so). Then there are those that hang around nice parks for children, but everyone knows they are riff-raff.
I am proudest of the rant against the BMW driver. I must say Satan will send them to training soon HeHEhe, THAT BMWs are in the HUGE MAJORITY for breaking West Seattle Law.
