minionMemberAny tips on where to view the Blue Angels for free this year?
I saw this article from ’07. But was wondering if it has changed at all. https://westseattleblog.com/2007/08/our-seafair-secrets/
Thank you

clark5080ParticipantYup pretty much the same I go to the Lake on Saturday as I like to see racing and also on Thursday and Friday I am down by Boeing field in the lot near the tower on the west side to watch the blues from there

DianeParticipantmy 2 favorites
~
get over to Mercer Island before the 90 bridge closes to traffic; find a place to park on streets near east side of the bridge (I have a secret spot) and walk down to the bridge; you get 2 choices of bridge to walk onto and watch from there; absolutely the best viewing spot; after the show, you can walk out on the north sidewalk of the bridge and watch all the festive boaters go under the bridge; you can also ride a bike on the bridge sidewalk; so many options; excellent views, and really big crowds; the lid park there has porta-potties on show days
~
my other new favorite spot, just learned about last Blue Angels 2 yrs ago, closer/easier access to WS; south end of Boeing Field at Ruby Chow park down in Georgetown

trickycooljParticipantI highly recommend the I-90 bridge at least once if you’ve never done it! Bring a big thermos bottle of ice water and an umbrella for shade or a very wide brimmed hat and lots of sunscreen! Amazing view!

CMPParticipantI’ve gone to Boeing Field to watch and while it can be kind of quiet between takeoff and landing, they did fly back over mid-show which was fun. I’ve timed being in the Costco parking lot unintentionally and they fly right over there too, but not exactly ideal for the rest of the show. Medina Beach isn’t a bad spot either, but is completely inconvenient for us West Seattleites.
