dhgParticipantAs all too often happens, blasted Comcast TV and Internet service is down again. Anticipated down time is four hours. It is no longer possible to talk to Comcast on the phone until the issue gets resolved.

DianeParticipantI went through that late last night/early this am, 1:30am; after 1/2 hr, called Comcast re cable tv; same thing happened; can no longer get a person; a recording verified my address and said there’s an outage in your area, could be 4 hrs; I’m guessing thatās now their standard recording; it came back on about 5 mins later; and yeh, it sucks; REALLY wish there’s decent alternative to Comcast

dhgParticipantThis is a new procedure since last year when I was actually able to talk to someone at comcast. Now it knows my number, tells me they are down and then, basically, talk to the hand. They don’t want to hear it. It would be worth it to them to provide a sympathetic ear, to give me someone who might actually know something about the outage. They choose to say eff you, count on a 4 hr block of time as the outage and don’t bother us. That is a bad strategy.

ghar72ParticipantWhile it’s a hassle, you can get refunded for the time service was out. You have to call every time though. Knock on wood, I haven’t had issues lately with our internet, but last year it was going out all the time. I swore then, after many frustrating phone calls, that I would call every time and get my money refunded, if nothing but to be a pain.
