Black cat stuck in tree in Seaview

    Is anyone missing a black cat in Seaview? He/she has been stuck in a very tall tree in our backyard on 49th, and is probably 70-80 feet in the air.

    Showed up early this morning and has been there all day. We have called and walked around to all the immediate neighbors.

    Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it down? I climbed up my 30 foot ladder and put a basket with tuna fish in it and a rope attached so if the cat gets in the basket we can lower it down. It's as high as we can get.

    The websites say just to wait and it will come down on it's own, but we wanted to get the word out.

    If it doesn't, and owners come forward I saw this guy on Animal Planet.

    May also want to consider contacting a climbing club and/or facility. They have all the safety gear and know how.

    Oh good heavens, how did I miss this?

    Sometimes the magic lucky charm to getting the cat down is a news story ;)

    Thanks all, the cat must have climbed down in the middle of the night and is now gone. Hopefully someone got a nice Easter present when it returned.
