black and white reprints

Are there any photographers out there who can vouch for a company to go to for b&w reprints? I have a negative that is about 2 X 2.5 from the 40\'s, I am guessing, and I just want to get a few prints made. Thanks.

  2. If nobody here gives you a lead then I suggest you call Glazer\'s Camera @(206)624.1100. http://www.glazerscamera.com.

I\'m sure they\'ll give you a great recommendation. They\'ve never steered me wrong on any camera/photography questions.

  4. Sadly, Ivey Imaging was the best that we had in Seattle for slides and they just recently closed down. I\'m sure the people at Glazer\'s will be able to help you out though.

Ivey as in Ivey Seright? Thanks for the glazer\'s tip. I\'ve been out of the photo community for most of this decade.

  6. Ivey Imaging had a store right next door to Glazer\'s for years. http://www.ivey.com

When I was in photography school, I was there on a regular basis for prints and developing of large format film. I know many people used them for slides too.

  7. As a former Ivey employee, I can tell you that many are sad to see them go. Digital has simply eroded the market to the point where it was no longer economically viable.

Thankfully, there are some good independent labs out there. I\'d recommend Panda Lab (www.pandalab.com). They are located off Mercer near Seattle Center. Glazer\'s would also be a good resource.

Thanks, I once applied to work at Ivey in 1996.
