Big booms in Highland Park last night

    Anyone know the cause of the big, house-shaking booms last night (Friday 28th). First one at 8:25p and then another at 9:39p?

    Some friends in your area reported the 9:30 blast as well from an unknown source.

    I received one e-mail last night and also saw one report on a neighborhood mailing list. Haven't been able to find any official info about it and no obvious casualty-related incident followed ...

    I'm down at Delridge and Graham and heard the same thing. Thought it was a transformer blowing. If we both heard it and you're all the way over there, those were some big booms!! our house didnt rattle, maybe it was closer to you.
