This cold weather makes me want to pick up something yummy on the way home from work and enjoy something delicious at home. Any thoughts on the best take-out in West Seattle?

88 Restaurant in White Center - takeout Vietnamese and the best Pho in town.

Lee's Asian. Hands down.

Haven't had takeout from 88 but I've eaten there a few times and loved it.
Since we live farther North we usually get Lee's or that teriyaki place in Jefferson Square (near Subway) for takeout.

Kokoras! Buddha Ruksa! Zippy's! Taco Trucks! I also second or third the 88 recommendation.

Buddha Ruksa and Lee's :)

Lee's, Kokoras, Buddha Ruksa, and I'm partial to the oft-overlooked New Teriyaki here in Morgan Junction, same lot as the Shell station, just south of Thriftway.

Glad to see the shoutout for New Teriyaki & Wok ... the unofficial official Asian takeout choice of WSB HQ since ... well ... however long they've been open!

I like Lee's and Budda. I also like Amante I like their hoggies. I have had the BBQ Chicken and I have had the meatball. That and a salad is enough for two meals.

i definitely second the Amante recommendation. I usually get the baked manicotti and salad...yummy cheesy goodness.

Royal India Grill! The Royal Chicken Tika Masala is the best!
We also made burgers one night at home, and I phoned in a take out order for the hand cut fries at Circa! yum!

Kokoras - always good! Greek food warms the soul.

Red Star Pizza
New joint on 35th. Excellent pizza & subs. Good prices. Real attention to local ingredients. And....the clincher...free classic arcade games while you wait for your order.
An awesome new addition!

I just read a post elsewhere on the WSB about Hey Paison! in Burien. A totally great little Italian deli/sandwich shop where everything is totally tasty. It is about 12 minutes away (easy drive 16th to Ambaum to 152nd) They have the best meatballs to go. Grab a container of homemade meatballs (6 huge meatballs and spagetti sauce) and then boil some water and cook your own pasta at home. If you are in the mood for a sandwich as a meal you can try those too! If you are form the east coast you will be so glad you found out about this new little secret!
