I am a new dog mom and am always on the lookout for "dog friendly" establishments to take my dog with me. I've found the Beveridge Place and C&P coffee -- what are your favorites? Even if it's outside seating only, as the sun really wants to stick around...

Back when we had a dog who could behave herself in public, we used to sit outside at Sunfish.

How about at home?

It sucks to be allergic to all dogs, even well-behaved ones, and as a result to have to avoid those establishments that unofficially allow patrons to bring their (non-service) dogs in.
I'd love to give the Beveridge Place Pub more business, but they've decided that they'd rather be "the dog pub" than follow the health codes and be welcoming to everyone.Posted 2 years ago # -
The dog park.

Is it illegal to bring a animal in to a restaurant that serves humans food? I'm guessing that only people with service dogs are able to do that by written law.

I hear the beating of another dead horse.......and am probably stirring the pot...
The ADA allows service dogs into establishments. The previously mentioned establishments follow the ADA laws. If you don't like the dogs...there are plenty of other choices.

Big Al's allows dogs out on the patio and indoors if they are on a leash.

I don't really get post 7 as it relates to post 6, but Jiggers, I'm pretty sure it was established at some(!) point, that it has to do with food service - BPP, Al's, C&P, etc. aren't licensed as restaurants.

Will you be holding it in your lap and feeding it from a bottle, "mom"?

Sorry for some of these comments. I think Beveridge is by far the most pet friendly. It's a one of a kind establishment and I wish there were more places like it.

We like going down to any of the Alki restaurants that have outdoor seating. We can tie up Miss Emmy Jane and then sit accross from her. Plus, it allows her to play her favorite game... "block the sidewalk and force people to pet me." Beveridge Place is still the best though.

We welcome you and your leashed dog on our patio at Giannoni's Pizzeria in Westwood Village! Please come see us rain or shine!

NORM's in Fremont! :)

We love NORM's! It's a full service pub-style restaurant and the food is quite good. Oh, and the floors are amazingly clean... not a morsel to be found! ;)

NORM's! Can't hang with dogs? Find the 99.99999% of other eating establishments that you can stand... Otherwise, bring em' in, its all bar type food but tolerant and cool :-)

I've yet to find a bar with the atmosphere and selection of Beveridge Place Pub, thus my continued disappointment that there are almost always *many* dogs in there. I think it's crappy that they allow dogs even though it's against health code.

My dog howls while you whine... There are plenty of places in West Seattle that have great atmosphere, need a directory?

Your back yard.

Some interesting cache material on Norm's out there, especially what looks to be taken from their FB page at one time. Goes on to list their rules that get the Health Dept. to "look the other way" re: the fact that they have dogs in a dining establishment. Gutsy.
