Best place to buy a car?

  1. Any suggestions on a reputable dealership?

Looking for a small, pre-owned foreign car. LOVE Acura/Honda. Willing to test out Toyota, VW, Mini, etc. Sorry USA, been burned too many times. I know you're making better cars now, but wounds are still healing.

    Thanks!

If Volvo is at all a consideration, contact David Intonti at Ravenna Volvo. they may have some other used models around. I had a great buying experience working with him - skip the other salesmen there. Drop him a note and ask what he has in your range: david@bobbyersvolvo.com Mention that the West Seattle contingent sent you.

  3. Carter VW and Carter Subaru. I've had good experience with them. Their service is very competitively priced meaning you can take your car in, get it fixed right, and pay no more than if you'd taken it to a shop that does not specialize in VW's. (They also pass my first test of car dealerships: I'll go for a test drive and then walk away. If they try too hard to get me to come in, or try to pass me to their closer, I won't buy. Carter will let you look at cars without trying to close the deal that moment.)

  4. I would not go anywhere else but Tom Dyer Imports in University Place. Yes, it's a ways to go but it will be worth every bit of it. The cars he sells are primo, and although the prices are fixed (no negotiating), they are well below blue book. Here's the web site: http://www.tomdyerimports.com/

    Good luck!

Admiral Way seems like a good place. Also look along Barton near Target. :)

If you are considering a Subaru I had great luck with Mike Scarff Subaru in Auburn. They seem to have a good selection of other used foreign cars as well and there. Good luck.

We bought a 2004 Toyota Sienna from Jegs Motors in Lynnwood in August and nothing but praise for the place and the car!

  9. We bought a VW from Roger Jobs in Bellingham a little over a year ago. Great people to deal with and when our car needs service, they drive down in a loaner and take are car in for us.
