   Yes - I have kids - energetic ones who have trouble sitting still. I still like to go out to eat once in a while when I like to torture myself. What makes it a good kid restaurant? Quick food, decent price and a drink for mom and dad. Any ideas other than EBAY? They are our constant fallback and we are looking for other ideas.

   We've been taking our almost-3-year-old to Guadalajara (by Endolyne's) since she was a few months old. They are great, let us sit in a section by ourselves if it's not busy so she can mill around, and they always remember us.

   Taqueria Guaymas (both locations on California and Roxbury) have always treated my kids very well. The spaces are big and open, the kids love the art and decorations, and the food is cheap and good.

   My 6 year-old is chiming in that Spiro's is his favorite and it's true that Spiro's is great with kids.

   Korkoras and Pegasus also come to mind.

   I think Elliott Bay Brewery is pretty good. Nice and loud in there so if the kids are noisy they don't bother people as much. (we did, however, go at lunchtime once and it was a nightmare. not as loud then!)

   Yep, Elliot Bay in Burien seems a little less crowded than the one in West Seattle but both are good with kids. They have a kid's menu, crayons, cups with straws and it's usually pretty loud in there to begin with with the music and sports TVs.

   The new Angelina's is very friendly. Chalk boards and play-do. And the drink menu is great. I did not feel uncomfortable there with my wild child.

   Also, Jalisco's in South Park is wonderful and kid friendly.

   Our child is still only 2 so following rules of staying at the table quietly for the duration of a dinner out doens't really work too well. I always come prepared with some quiet toys and coloring materials but that only buys about 15 minutes of peace. What we do to make dining out enjoyable is we bring a portable DVD player with headphones and try not to worry if she eats dinner at the restaurant. We are going out for ourselves and I can always feed her something when we get back home if she hasn't eaten at the restaurant. This allows us to enjoy our dinner and a bottle of wine without feeling totally rushed or worrying about her wanting to get down and run around or bothering the people that are trying to have a nice night out. Lots of people are anti TV with kids, but if there is ever a time to allow them to watch it is at a restaurant, on a plane, or a long car ride. When she is older and can be expected to sit at a table with adults for a longer period of time I will consider doing away with it. But for now it is really nice to be able to enjoy a dinner out and some adult conversation without having to find a babysitter or without driving the other people around us crazy.

   Puerto Vallarta is a great place to take kids. Good kids menu, and on Sundays it's deeply discounted - I think $1.50 for kids entrees.

   the new Zeeks is really geared toward kids, as well. they give each kid a ball of dough to play with while you wait for your order. they don't seem overly concerned about noise, either.

    We love Luna Park cafe.

    Zeeks is good and I like going to Cactus with kids when it's not too busy because they're scruptious kid's rice and beans is only $1.50 no matter what the day.

    My sister-in-law was at Zeeks a few weeks ago with my 1 and half year old nephew, when another custome started shouting at her to keep her child quite. He said children were to be seen and not heard. No one that worked there stuck up for her. Nor did the two men that were eating with him. My sister in law was sat in the corner away from all the other customers, and my nephew was making normal baby noises. This man was louder than my nephew. She was very upset. I would at least be aware of crazy customers at Zeeks.

    Can I join you at Zeeks, I will bring my well-behaved 9 year old but will have her friends join us too! People who make those kind of judegemnts in my opinion either don't have kids, don't like kids or just want everybody around them to feel miserable!

    I guess angelina's has chalk board you can write on pretty cool, something to entertain the kids i guess and even adults:)

    We love kids! We also have a Kid's Eat Free Special every Mon - Wed between 4-7p.

    I like Endolyne Joe's - but would only recommend it on WEEKdays when it is a lot more empty (and before 11am for the $5 specials). I bring my baby there and while he mostly sleeps, they are very accommodating (good restroom, room for stroller, car seat hammocks etc.)

    Also, I believe Talarico's now allows kids before 6pm - and they have nice big cheap slices I'm sure the kids would love.
