Maybe the shell station on Admiral: they are very reliable and fair in pricing.

  3. Les Schwab is not always fast but they usually do it for free. We got a flat a couple years back right before heading home from Portland, they repaired it fast and did not charge us even though it wasn't one of their tires.

There is a great shop in Burien near 148th St. - Marty's tires - always seems to be open and they can fix the tire in 10 min or less for cheap:)

  5. Discount Tires by Fred Meyer.

  6. thanks for the tips; made it to my event last night after the great Geico road service changed the flat & inflated all tires (very low after cold temps and car buried in snow/ice for 15 days)

I'm rolling on donut spare today; will contact referrals; I live between 2 main junctions, so tire repair closer to this area makes more sense for today; any other tips close by welcome

I think the Chevron on 35th (across from Mars Hill Church) fixes flat tires for $10.

    Diane,

I always buy the Consumer Reports top-rated (for our usual conditions) all-season tires when I need new tires, then find out which stores/chains have those tires in stock or can order them. Discount Tires in Burien on 1st Ave. S next to Fred Meyer is usually the place I buy tires.

Les Schwab repairs tires for free, but their tires are never mentioned by Consumer Reports and from the little price checking I've done, their best tires cost almost as much as the tires I usually buy at Discount Tires.

Costco may have better prices if they stock the tires... dunno.

I always go to Discount Tire in Burien as well, though I hear Costco is good too.
