I've got an even better idea. If you've just gotta drink beer, see bands and bathe in red stuff support the Zombie Walk for $5 and give the extra $30 you save to the food bank. I like to get crazy as much as the next guy but $35.99 to throw tomatoes just doesn't seem right to me. By the way, they do this in Spain each year and it is free. . . . . of course if you want to spend $35.99 on a beer and consider the tomato throwing free go right ahead. Am I being a jerk? Wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last.

  3. 2MW: At the present time, you are not being a jerk.

When's the next Zombie Walk and what's it all about, Alfie?

  4. ...because tomatoes are so CHEAP and PLENTIFUL here in soggy Seattle! Wouldn't a blackberry battle make more sense? (Or a Blackberry battle. Even better.) Or how about a meat-not-eating contest?

Zombie Walk was more of a Freemont thing so not really West Seattle (but neither is the Pyramid Brewery). Not sure when the next one is but you can learn about the last one here: http://www.seattlerex.com/live-from-the-2011-seattle-zombie-walk/ By the way, apparently we (Seattle) were able to get the world record back from New Jersey.

  6. FWIW, the Tomato Battle is benefiting the White Center Food Bank. If you don't want to throw tomatoes but might be interested in seeing this ... spectacle ... we have posted on WCN and FB and Twitter a call for volunteer help, ann@annkendall.com if you can pitch in. So to speak. - Tracy

Ha! @TMW - you thought you were being a jerk, but were actually just assuming. Better to be an ass than a jerk - IMO. :)
